Our Story

Pat-a-Cake Bakers was founded by two best friends back in 2010 who wanted to spread their love for baking with children.  They started baking classes and baking birthday parties with young kids to share their knowledge with the art of baking, all while having fun! After some time,  their venture evolved into a custom cake and desserts business.  While one baker has decided to discover other paths in life, Alicia is still going strong 11 years later. It was time for the business to grow and evolve, just as Alicia has. Sweet Roots Cakery was founded on the basis of what's important to her (besides baking of course), family.  The S in Sweet stands for her older daughters middle name, Samantha, and R in Roots for her younger daughters middle name, Rosa, along with the word roots being symbolic for family.  And that's how Sweets Roots Cakery was born!
